and there's a guy who sings it at work on fridays here too.

same station has also faithfully played journey & van hagar since the material was released, and is the only station i know of to have played journey during:

a) when it was cool (1981)
b) when it was not cool (1983-2003)
c) when it was so funny it was cool but still not really all that cool (2004)

maybe hearing it consistently while flipping through that station for like 20 years soured it for me.

it's kind of the way people around here wear clothes that were big in the 80s not because they're hip but because that's what they've always worn, ever since the 80s. plenty of whitewashed denim still around.

Def Leppard is so much hotter than Journey guys.

Chupe, 8 years of working part time in my father's machine shop and listening to classic rock radio stations has made be despise stuff that I used to like before, or would like if not for this experience.

It really is a sad phenomenon.

I agree with Azal. While Steve Perry is by far a better singer, DL is totally better overall for consistent song quality.
