well, i was offended by your remark about my knowledge, but thats all right. thanks for the apology. but i still believe they are posers...dont think that i dont like their music: i fucking adore dani's vox, and he's an amazing lyricist...my problem is with their videos on mtv...all pointless and shot just to "scare" the listener. man, it's almost hilarious. for me, when a musician starts to appeal to the eye more than the ear, is the time they are turning mainstream and deserve the tag "poser." we dont get to see many videos in turkey, so i dont have anything to compare them to but im sure there are better black metal videos.

i never had a problem with the vids until "Born in a burial gown" , god that video stinks ....as for the others: i like em.... i've never EVER seen "from the cradle to enslave" on tv and for good reasons..lol (and i also LOVE that vid) as for "her ghost in the fog", i saw it once or twice and that was only on a metal show... it's a pretty cool video IMO. but i guess if you think they're posers you're entitled to your own opinion

i dont know about you all, but i find Cradle of Filth in no way, evil, or scary.... I love thier music, the vocals are fucking awesome, dani has got to have the largest range of vocals i have ever heard.... and the lyrics are so... poetic, its beautful, not evil....

ild say the most evil thing ever ever heard is....
maybe something from deicide, nah, cause i can listen to the whole thing, but its still pretty evil considering its all about killing christians and burning churches, and raping people, and talking shit about jesus.... but i can listen to the whole thing....

mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas album is a stong runne as well... listen to the song Freezing Moon, which is also on thier Live at Leipzig album...

as much as i love some anti-christian death metal.... i have to agree with you that deicide's latest havent quite been up to par....

their middle stuff is their best IMO... Once Upon The Cross is my favorite album...
