As I listen more and more to this record I can't help but think that these lads from the UK are trying hard...a little bit too hard at times to explore new territory harmonically and tehnically speaking and forgetting about writing songs and not just a bunch of start/stop parts into a mix of riffs that tend to sound disjointed most of the times. Enter the Grave was succesful in the hooks department whereas this album leans towards the technical part of things. I know they are capable players but their knack for hooks it's what got me into them in the first place. They are a young outfit so I hope they are able to find a better balance between songwriting and technicality for the next record.
