EXXPLORER "A Recipe For Power"" - Cover, Track List, Release Date Vinyl: November 16, 2012

"A Recipe For Power" - the second album of EXXPLORER will be released on November 16, 2012 first time on vinyl.

Before EXXPLORER split up for ten years, they released three albums, their debut-classic “Symphonies of Steel” (1985), “A Recipe for Power” (1994) and “Coldblackugly” (1996). Since their come-back album “Vengeance Rides an Angry Horse”, the band has been very active again, and so it is about time to re-release their second album, which is sadly often underestimated.

“A Recipe for Power” will now be re-released as vinyl edition (400 black, 100 coloured) with a top-quality gatefold cover. The production is warm and authentic (not very typical for the mid-90s) and the album offers 43 minutes of US-type Power Metal with a bit of prog added. You will hear once again Lenny Rizzo’s touching and magical voice, melodic and simply unique. “One” is a cover-song, recorded as a tribute to the late songwriter Harry Nilsson. Fans of EXXPLORER will love the typical US-metal songs like “Rock the Nation” and “Beg, Borrow and Steel”.
“A Recipe for Power” is simply one of the truest and best US-metal-albums of the 90s!

First time on vinyl: The pre-order phase of the rerelease of "A Recipe For Power" (vinyl edition) of EXXPLORER started in our webshop. The official release date is the November 16, 2012. There are 500 pieces, 400 black and 100 clear.

Two years have passed since the re-packaging of EXXPLORER’s second album “A Recipe For Power”. Now, in order to celebrate the reunion of the original line-up, we have decided to give you something special. Ladies and gentlemen, you are in for a treat! Pure Steel is happy to announce, that a re-release of EXXPLORER’s legendary 1984 debut album, “Symphonies Of Steel”, is in the making! Exclusively vinyl, this re-release will be limited to only 300 units. So if you’re a fan of melodic and powerful US Metal, get up your ass right now and buy it!

Anthems such as “Run For Tomorrow”, “Exxplorer”, the heart-breaking semi-ballad “World War III” and the monolithic, twelve minute-epic “Objection Overruled” are as relevant today as they were over thirty years ago. The clean and unique vocals of Lenny Rizzo and the amazing guitar wizardry of Ed LaVolpe and Kevin Kennedy have graced “Symphonies Of Steel” with a power, that simply cannot be described. Words are not sufficient. Also, as a small bonus, the album will be released with the original 1984 cover artwork, which should make many avid collectors very happy.
