These performances are awesome. I would agree that Mike Patton needs to deliver the songs with more confidence and less sarcasm. But did he really ever? Dig up old performances on YouTube and this is really very much the same.

Mike's a sarcastic guy, love him or hate him, I don't think that will change. It's what ultimately makes him great (and terrible.)
