FALCONER Begin Work On New CD

The first rehearsal with the complete line up took place some weeks ago, and I can tell you that it sounded awesome to finally hear the result. Mathias brought that extra spice to the songs as usual.

All songs for the upcoming album is written into every detail, it feels quite good to for once be this well-prepared and hopefully that can result in some spare time in the end instead of cutting out ideas.

The new material is more folkish but still feels fresh, like a natural progression from the 2 first albums.

We will enter the studio in February to record all instruments, then carry on with the vocals and mix in the summer. On one hand it feels hard to wait that long to finalize it, on the other hand it might be good to sit back and clear your head and then return with charged batteries again.

The first edition of the album will contain about 4 bonus tracks, traditional Folk songs!! I would estimate the release date to be in Sep/Oct ‘06.

I really enjoy the two first albums, with the return of Blad I expect nothing but cool folk metal.

thats fuckin awesome, i love falconer. the 3rd album, sceptre of destruction is the weakest i think, the latest one isnt too bad at all! however, it doesnt surpass the 2nd album, CFAVF, at all, which is still just under the brilliant self-titled first album!

Blad's voice is so amazing. I am very much looking forward to this. I hope he breathes life into the tired sounding riffs and music that the last two albums have produced.
