Just bought the album. It's pretty good, not sure why this isn't talked about much here. The drums are a bit on the slammed side and the master seems loud but I'm digging the jams much in the way the latest JFAC grabbed me.

It's very slick-sounding, highly technical, sorta-djenty progressive metal. It's the platonic ideal of what most sso users enjoy listening to. Not for me, but it appeals hugely to people who listen to BTBAM, The Faceless, The Contortionist, etc.
Fallujah are fucking awesome and calling them even remotely djenty is an inaccurate insult. I would say they have way more in common with Gorod, Atheist, Cynic, and The Faceless than anything else.
Yeah, djent is way off base with these dudes. Use of a seven string does not equal djent. I prefer their older Decrepit Birth style better, but the atmospheric prog death metal stuff is still killer.
It's been a long time since I gave them a try- I was off base on that adjective. I think everything else I said was accurate, though. I just find that the combination of the production style and the almost mechanical nature of the songs tends to make tracks bleed into one another without a lot of distinction.
