all i can think of when i hear the name of Cameron Diaz is "the sweetest thing" *shudder* now that movie was 84 minutes of pure torment and agony, without doubt one of the worst flicks i've seen lately. it's so hysterical and loud, and the plot is beyond pathetic.

btw here in sweden they named the movie "hot, sexy and single" which made me hate it even more...

The girl from "Requiem for a dream" is probably Jennifer Connelly you're thinking of, unless it's the mother.
My favorite actress is probably Sigourney Weaver, although I haven't seen many of her films (and don't plan to). If you take looks as your pick, then it surely is Beyonce Knowles, although that afro bong hair doesn't look that good on her (I haven't seen the Goldmember film though).
There's also a Danish actress that I like and it's Helle Virkner. She's 77 now, but in her younger days she was also actually quite pretty IMO. Well, she's always been pretty, but I can't say that I enjoy her looks as a 77 year old as much as when she was 35 or something.
I don't really know if there's others, I can't really come up with any.

I actually also think Josie Bissett is decent! Except for being very, very good looking IMO, she's one of the only actresses that I really can think of when talking about good actresses. There are more actors that spring to mind!
