We're already approaching the halfway point of the '10s. I'd like to check out some stuff I've missed (metal/prog/whatever). Let's do this! No limit, but at least try to rank them. Put some effort into it, goddammit! :headbang:

daft punk should stick to stellar soundtracks like tron legacy and leave behind the bull$hit "up all night to get lucky" gay radio girly shit. id even let them keep those retarded helmets

You are literally the only person who likes the Tron soundtrack.

Ken, this thread was created merely for your response. :danceboy:

Ken - my modern jazz pimp

Ken: care to rank those in order of preference? That's the point!

Maybe we should do "one-line recos of death" for each album we list, nay? Not that anyone will check them out, but still...

Good thread but as always it would be better to accompany each album with a little descriptive teaser and a video, like we used to do when we were young, beautiful and idle.

I'm not gonna listen to anything from a factual list sadly.

i need to listen to this one again. oath bound had little staying power other than 2-3 tracks. the caladan brood cd, on the other hand, has only gotten better

i think i've finally come to terms with the idea that music (metal, leastwise) really is much worse now than it was up to about 1997-1999. something happened around the turn of the millennium that i think we will never recover from. so i only listen to old shit, because i get invariably disappointed with everything new. here's the complete list of things i have that are 2010 or later:

Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight To The World (Fat Possum Records - FP1220-2)

and about half of this i don't even really like that much. i put the ones i like very much in bold. but i don't think i can put them into a proper, ranked list.

it's not even me getting old and just liking the shit i grew up on because i still discover new old bands from 1970-1999 that i like very much. metal music is just bad now. sorry.
