Gotta go with Misanthropy on this one. I never realized that one label was responsible for releasing so many dick-kicking-in albums. I mean, FUCK! Look what they put out from 1994 to 1999:

Looks very similar to my list of favorite metal albums of the 90s. Am I missing something here? Were they just some kind of UK distribution thing or what? Other than the bare bones history of the label, I couldn't find much information online. Apparently it was run by some busted Burzum groupie who is now a vegan/pagan priestess with a travel blog. You can't make this shit up.

The list basically reads like a who's who of swedish melodic black metal 93-96.

yeah Misanthropy Records was the shit. A golden hand at signing the crème de la crème of (at the time) unknown, circlejerk-inducing bands. I mean, ok Burzum is Burzum, but In the Woods..., Primordial? Who the fuck else would have bet a kopeck on these bands, and see what value added they brought to music... Nemtheanga > Mozart is fact!
