Favourite Dark Angel album that's not Darkness Descends

Time Does Not Heal the Scars That Have Arrived

Voted "gay and lying". I don't like Dark Angel. They would have served well as a gateway into death metal, but as a fan of stuff that is a tad more extreme, I feel that something is missing in Dark Angel (and most other thrash bands). More aggressive vocals and heavier guitars would have done the trick. You may now proceed to flame me.

Dark Angel has plenty of tempo changes ... the problem is they are usually buried in a wall of muddy production.

I did choose We Have Arrived ... for it's simplicity.

Or Morbid Angel's "Covenant", Dismember's "Like An Everflowing Stream", etc.

:)

Fuck off you motherfucking fuck fuck, brutality is not about playing at 290 bpm.

Not according to your definition, possibly. Not that we're talking about brutality anyway, the word is extreme. When did Dismember and Morbid Angel start playing at 290 BPM?

When I accidentally played them at 45 rpm :erk:

Anyway, shut up and thrash til death

I like Time Does Not Heal. Who hates Dark Angel and why? The speed, precision, technicality, epicness, complexity of their thrash is second to none. However, the production does suck, and the singing isnt the greaest. You know I played Darkness Descends to a guitarist friend of mine who had only listened to Metallica, as he is a jazz guy, and he was blown away at how good it was.
