FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares has confirmed to Heavy New York that is "still working" on material for his debut solo album. Although there is no set release date for the disc, Dino hopes that it will arrive soon, "because I always get called to do other projects, and I put stuff on hold," he said during an appearance on Friday (January 25) at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California. Cazares also revealed that his death metal/grindcore project ASESINO, in which he is joined by FEAR FACTORY/STATIC-X bassist Tony Campos (on bass/vocals), will "definitely" have a new album out this year. "We have to have it out by summer," he said. "We're working on it. We're pretty far along. But we've gotta have it done quick, because Tony's gonna be on tour with STATIC-X coming up. So, we've gotta get it done quick." ASESINO's second album, "Cristo Satanico", came out in 2006. Cazares recently left Ibanez and signed a deal with Ormsby Guitars. This past November, vocalist Burton C. Bell told the M.I.R.P. web site that FEAR FACTORY has completed work on its long-awaited new album for a tentative 2019 release. The effort, which will once again be made available via Nuclear Blast, will mark the Californian band's first collection of new music since 2015's "Genexus" LP.
