"Follow* The Reaper" was among the 10 or 11 CD's that were mysteriously in my room when I started coming back to my senses after my surgery this past September. I don't know how they got there, but I guess sometime before the surgery I must have asked my friend Holger, who used to work for Nuclear Blast at the time, to send me some new releases to check out. Everything for nearly a year before the operation is either fuzzy or gone from my mind entirely.

Out of those CD's "Follow*..." was a standout and I took a liking to it right away. I love the classical progressions and the guitarists are really good. Every musician in the band is great technically and musically on their instrument, including the singer. The songs are cool, the production is great... a killer album. Something there is not enough of these days.

Anyway, the band made an impression on me, and "Follow* The Reaper", despite the possibly negative vibe of the title given my health situation at the time (and now), played a definite part in helping me make it through a time when my life was literally hanging by a thread (I fully believe in the healing power of music).

Good luck guys, I hope you keep putting out stuff of this quality for years to come. I will try to keep updated on your tours and releases. I can be reached via email or you can post to my UM forum or through my webstie .

Hi humus666, anarkisti, BurningAngel, and Extendar and thanks so much for your kindness and for the considerate manner in which you pointed out and/or responded to my mistake (Follow/Fear) in my C.O.B. forum post.

(Any sarcasm intended, you might ask?.... perhaps a bit.)

I recently had a major operation to remove a large tumor from my head and it nearly killed me. I survived only by luck, will, and the skill of my doctor's (who had their doubts about my survival). I am still not fully recovered.

Yes, the tumor put pressure on my brain and optic nerves, causing short term memory problems and blurry vision, among several other problems. No it did not make me forget how to read or blind me.

The short term memory problems have caused many such mistakes about small details. I have even mispelled my own CD title (Convergence/Convergeance) more than once since the surgery. A minor price to pay for my life, and it is getting better as I recover more.

Embarrassing mistake, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it, and none of this changes the fact that I like what I have heard so far of C.O.B., and I will undoubtedly listen to more soon.

Anyway, this has gotten boring so I am going to take my medicine and go listen to some metal.

Well, I'm used to these kind of spelling errors as it seems so many Finnish people don't really know how to read. I have a friend who once held a pc game in his hand that was called "Heroes of Might and Magic". Then he showed me the disc and said: "Have you played this game: Hero Quest?" I looked at the disc. then looked at him, then again the disc and again the guy and started laughing my guts out! WHen I had laughed enough, I said: "Hey, maybe you should read it again and think what you said about the name of the game. He then briefly looked at the disc and said again: "Hero Quest". Then I realized that he really has some problems with text and spelling. But, I guess it's not his fault.

Wow, James Murphy on CoB board! When I first saw the name beside the topic I thought "Oh no, not again some fool who names himselve after a great guitar player"*g*

Anyway, great that you are feeling better.

Well, call me a moron, but I don't know who James Murphy is, either.
But I sympathize with what you've gone through, as my mother died because of a tumor in the head almost 5 years ago. I was 13 and something at that time...

Well, would anybody tell me who he is? Thanks...
