I have two goals with this. #1 I need someone to put a good drum track into a song I've been working on. #2 I think it would be cool to get a couple different people to work on 1 song. We don't have to record it for real, just a GP5 thing. If the songs are good enough, then maybe we can get some people going on them. But for now it's just sharing of musicianship :headbang:

Here's the song I've completed (besides drums obviously)

If you don't have GP5 and still wanna hear the song and comment, then

Obviously this isn't meant to be bonecrushing death metal so some may not like it. The song's influence comes mostly from Aeon and Amon Amarth.

Wow, I think that this song has much potential! Would be awesome if some of the forum guys could play the instruments. Then Mike does some brutal vox and it ends up as a bonus track on the album :headbang:

Too bad my guitar skills arent at that level yet, otherwise Id do it :erk:

Ok, its done! it took me like 5 hours but its finally complete... Listen, if you wanna change something be careful! cause I'm used to edit the hole dynamic of the track (you know, forte, mezzo forte, and shit) so keep an eye on that fact.
I change a few things on the hole structure of the track, sorry but this is how I made my own songs, it's easier for me this way...
It was fun anyways, usually my songs are quite slow (like Grave) but this one is faster and sounds a lot more melodic (amon amarth style). It was difficult for me to get used to the (damn) tempo since you can't blast at T=165.

There are a few really long riffs so I made my best to keep the song interesting and dynamic. There's a lot of Peter Wildoer's influence here, you'll see, hope you like :)

Ok now that was awesome. I was expecting something that I'd probably be able to do with time but that was on a whole new level. Very nice work BastardSonOfGod :) I'm glad it was fun for you rather than punishing. I think this song would be amazing to actually record. I am capable of playing the guitars but I have no good recording equiptment right now. So in the meantime shall we work on another song? :p

To be honest I only like the chorus in it. I normally re-write songs 8 or 10 times before I completely like them. That last one I did 7 times.

Haha well the first song you can listen too cause we got it uploaded as a midi file and once BastardSonOfGod puts his final touches on the new one, the midi or mp3 will be uploaded.

Hey Emetic... I'm doing 2 version of the second song. You went kind of berserk with the riffs this time! I think that there're too many layers just for one song... so, I'll made an alternative version, kind of shorter and straightforward. Be patience.

You can play MIDIs with winamp... (vlc, media player, etc etc etc)

Hah, berserk can be good sometimes though. But I'll leave you to do your thing and see how much I like it afterwards (which I'm sure wont disappoint)
