Just a few quick notes to start a thread I will add to
as more information becomes available to me.

The Event will take place in Brussels Belgium on
October 22nd, 2005.

Yes, earlier this year....but the NEWER BIGGER venue
was not open for the November 6th tenative date.

So, Saturday October 22nd it will be.

The Headliner band has yet to be announced although
I CAN tell you it WILL NOT be Lacuna Coil as once
thought. LC has declined to attend the event.

Metal Organisation is currently looking at
Within Temptation or Nightwish as headliners.

More news as I hear it.

Other bands that are on the ticket albeit
nothing 100% worked out:

A total of 12 bands eventually.

After Forever
Epica
Leaves' Eyes
Asrai
Elis
Midnattsol
Mercury Rain
Diluvium
Skeptical Minds

Once the headliner act is signed the others will follow.
The above bands have agreed to attend and is a matter
of contractual agreement currently.
Metal Organisation has been flooded with requests to play
and fill the 2 remaining slots after headliner is announced.
Thus I am not certain any band is 100% YET.

:headbang:

I'll probably be there, especially if they put it on a Saturday!!!! :hotjump: (MFVF II was held in Brussels on a Sunday.. I went there but had to work on the following day and I can tell you it was a pain in the ass...)

Nightwish? Nightwish was already headliner for the 2nd edition in 2004.. same festival with same headliner, wouldn't that be weird? Epica was there too, but they weren't headliners, so......

Well, only time will tell, but if you get a headliner with all the bands mentioned above, this will rock! :headbang:

Unfortunately, Mercury Rain would be one of the first to play, and this for only 30 minutes like first bands last year I suppose :erk:

Just for you to know, last year's tickets were sold for 35€, and they were sold veeeeeeeeeeeery quickly, as the venue is quite small for such an event.

Great!! New venue then!!
So I hope the 6000 tickets will be sold and that Mercury Rain will get the promo they deserve!!!

Be sure I'll be there!!!!!!!

(Sorry for double posting)

Lacuna Coil seem to be the headliner, I read that on another forum

But I might be studying in Romania next year... so apart from a return flight during a weekend, it'll be hard to be there... I'll buy my ticket anyway, ready to see what happens....

Hey Volcane, I had forgotten that :loco:

Well, I'll buy my ticket anyway.. all I can do for the moment, as I applied for Romania this week.. if I get my diploma and am accepted (why shouldn't I?), I'll be there at the time of the festival...

*looks for cheap flights*

Good luck for your results, Thierry.
Romania, hey?!! Well, i don't think we've planned a gig there yet... ;)

Sorry for double posting ^^

Well, it's over, I won't come to the festival, as I passed my exams, so I'll be in Romania from September to December 2005 ;)
