just experiencing with pod xt's BB + voxengo curve eq + BBE maximizer;
what do you think, does this sound better than my prev tunes?
clip (ignore the poor riffs)
what should I fix on it? too much lowend, mud or fuzz?
any recommends about additional plugins?

I have an LTD viper 100 fm with an EMG 81 at the bridge, patch may sound a bit different on others... maybe try the internal eq to fit on yours

It's Fruity Loops onboard plugin - Boobass. I add some overdrive/comp/reverb in Cubase afterwards and done

I know the problem with the exams, same situation here

thanks! the bass is a pretty evil thing, it hides itself in the tracks seemingly, but screams out if it doesnt sound good. Just experiencing with broomstick bass, its quite nice for a first look.

I'm glad you liked it, so here it is
The fx chain was:
- Voxengo Gliss EQ
- Voxengo Analogflux Tapebus
- Waves C4
- Voxengo Gliss EQ

I've made the cut at 5,3 kHz, because I've found that the podxt has a 'signature' fizz there, that I don't really like - I always make a cut there automatically when I'm recording something with the pod

There is no reason why I used the voxengo eq, I think any parametric eq would do the job

The analogflux tapebus plugin is a saturation thing, it adds some color to the sound.
