That's where I found out the Virgin megastores are putting this disc in their system and on their shelves.

But i did find it at newbury comics. yay

this would make for even more interesting interviews. i say make a bio sheet with family hydra pictures talking of how Dot, Kayo came from the ocean and has adapted to life on land and how his/her broken home past has influenced the writing of music/lyrics.

damnit! i've tried 3 stores and nothing!
- local indie store with a whole Zorn/Tzadik/"Weird stuff" section ('Uh, our shipment hasn't come in yet.')
- second local indie store ('Uh, we don't really carry much of their stuff, but we could order it for you.')
- Borders, which was crowded with many an elderly lady standing in line for Mitch Albom's new book to be signed, surely to be an Oprah hit ('Looks like we're not going to carry that. But I can order it for you!')

i miss working in downtown chicago where i could walk to Virgin megastore at lunch. also, i don't mean this stuff to discourage the band, it just frustrated me. the decent local shops will carry it, i just haven't found the right one yet, and a single hour in suburbia doesn't bode well for locating ANY specific item, whatever it may be.

I know for a fact that both Aquarius and Amoeba will have it, but there are too far away from me during work hrs. I *might* go by AQ tonight, but I dunno for sure yet. The indie store close to me is Rasputins and the owner is a total nutjob jagoff. No fucking way he's getting my money.

Never been to Rasputins...I liked Aquarius pretty well, and I always manage to blow unreasonable amounts of money at Amoeba...

locals always complain about the AQ workers being snobby jerks, but I've never had a problem. we'll see what they say when I try to give em promo CDs.

Amoeba is out of hand, especially the SF one. It's like a black hole that sucks you in. I was just there this past week and spent like over an hour browsing and spending waaaaay too much money,

My local stores all had it listed in Metal for some reason. In a particular one, the computer said: "Kayo Dot (maudlin of the Well)" apparently the old name found its way in the system... None of them actually had it in stock of course...
