I just finished editing this about 20 minutes ago. I've been fairly silent about it, but we're in the middle of cutting our new album (tentatively titled "Game Over"). Only vocals left to track.

Game Over now available at CD Baby.

EDIT: This is an updated video with actual audio from the studio.

As The Empire Falls (arguably the heaviest track we've ever done!):

Veil of Judgment (Tony Mills on backing vox):

Game Over (old school thrash):

Under 5 minutes will not be considered a teaser, I should delete this thread

Why you never look at the camera, (final)stage fright? :loco:

We want more!

Upon a new listening I must say it's damn heavy and compact, pretty neat indeed and I hope the rest of the album goes in this direction.

So last night we recorded a show live for bonus tracks on the upcoming CD. I've heard some initial pre-mixes so far and it sounds AMAZING. I mean seriously, the stuff recorded last night has a better production than a good number of studio albums released this year and countless live DVDs.

Good for you, but REMEMBER production it's worthless without a proper composition. Now I know you can deliver great songs, so focus on it first

I'm sure you've recorded live before, but just curious as to what made this so special, sonically? Was it different gear? Better usage of said gear?

Well for one thing, just listen to how good an early premix of the sample I posted sounds. It blows away at least half of the live CDs and DVDs I own.

For the show on Friday night, we had Glenn (our engineer for the albums) running live sound so it sounded fantastic at the venue. All he did was mic up the entire drum kit, get dry tracks of the guitars so they could be re-amped in the studio (for more mixing control)

We did another show a few years ago where we were given the multitracks but the real difference was having Glenn - a real engineer - run everything.

I must confess I bought your first album half because of the influences you half in your music half for curiosity. After a couple of years I´d say is a very solid effort and enjoy listening regulary.

It sounds good the new stuff. Just waiting for listening the whole album.

What would I give to have someone of his caliber around! :bah:

I keep thinking both Stimulans demos are pretty fine, you should try to make an EP (self produced and recorded). You never know were it'll take from there.

Well, if you listen to them and then listen to this clip you can easily hear that Glenn's work is from another planet compared to our demos :D

In fact, we've recorded a long play CD!
It's being mastered as we type and we're talking with a small label and probably we will secure a deal with them. We've considered doing it DIY again, but when you can say that your CD is officially released it just sounds "better" in peoples ears although with a label this small it may not make as much difference.
We intend to have it stocked at CDbaby webshop for foreign audience so I will announce it here for anyone interested.
You can hear what it sounds like at our myspace page, though it's a rough master, but gives you a clue anyway...
We're already working on a second CD which we'll probably begin recording this fall and there's some material for the third as well, so lotsa new stuff for you in times to come. :)

p.s. I digress too much, sorry! Don't take this as a thread hijacking... :kickass:

ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME!

If not I'm gonna buy it straight from you guys :hotjump:

Hey, I can travel... I'll go anywhere to cut a record.

I believe you, and I'd be more than glad to invite you over here during summer and show you a bit of our coast and the sea, you'd love it for sure! But the will isn't lacking on our side, it's the funds of course ;)
I thought what fun it would be to visit Canada and do the recording in your studio, but it's science fiction for the time being haha :D

Since we the poor peasants in Croatia cannot accept PayPal payments, I guess CDBaby will be the way to go for foreign audience :bah:
Money in an envelope is maybe a bit too risky...

Well, the new album is FINISHED. :) I'll be posting a new song probably Friday to give everyone a taste of the record. For now though, here's a sample.

On the record we again had Jeff Klingbeil (Betrayer) on backing vocals, in additional to an absolutely ripping guitar solo. We also had Tony Mills (TNT, Shy) to do backing vocals on the song Veil of Judgment.
