I'm just a guy from New Jersey who's liked Metal since I was 12.
I started out with Metallica, Iron Maiden, The Misfits (I know they are punk, but I consider them one of the bands that helped me like Metal), etc.
Then when I was 14/15, I discovered Metalcore. At the end of 2007 (I was 16), I found In Flames and Children Of Bodom. I never looked at music the same at that point. They took me into the world of Melodic Death Metal and other genres.
One day I was on google and searched for a Metal fourm. And that's how I ended up here.
