Hey guys. I'm new to this forum so I hope this is in the right section. I really enjoy a lot of metal songs and am a HUGE A7X fan (hope that's considered metal). But anyway, I go to a business school and find it really hard to find people who also enjoy the kind of music that I do. I would like some help to find out where metal heads hang out/what type of classes they might be taking because it's definitely not business. Also, where are the metal head girls at?

Thanks guys!

Pretty much this. I did my degree in mathematics and I didn't find many people into metal when I was at University. However, myself and quite a few other members of this forum are teachers. So yeah, get on a teaching course.

You'll find them down behind the shelter sheds smoking cigarettes, kicking cans around and being generally unruly. Make sure you've got your coolest A7X shirt on when you approach them. Go straight up to the biggest one and punch him in the guts hard, then everyone will know what a badass you are and respect will be instant.

go to concerts nearby and meet friends there.
wear a metal band t-shirt and see who says 'nice shirt'.
I seriously made a metal-head friend because I was playing air guitar in the gym to some kick ass song, think it was by Hibria.
He asked if I listened to metal and then we became instant friends.

I've personally given up trying. Most people look at you funny when you say metal and bring up slipknot or some such. Anyone who is into metal will of course bring up metalcore or some obnoxious terrible band I hate so yeah...

The best I've done recently is a couple guys at work who are into Rush. And I'm okay with that.

My post was a joke. l guess loads of Americans who use the gym also like metal? i'm guessing Metallica, Limp Bizkit etc
But Home Economics is cooking you fags. l cook now, but at school? you're a homo
although they used to say you're surrounded by girls so you were smart.

I saw Metal Church and Armored Saint recently and there were a bunch of dudes in their 40s-50s with Hewlett-Packard and other engineering-related shirts. My dad (an engineer) met a dude from work who was big into metal as well. Go places with nerdy middle-aged people and you'll find metalheads.

This seems to be true from my experience. My friends who like metal are mostly unabashedly nerdy.
