THough they aren't mentioned here very much, Firewind is a pretty cool band. One of the reasons was because one of my favorite vocalists fronted them, namely Chitral Somapala (Chity Lanka.) Here is a statement from his mailing list...

My Dear Friends and Fans!

I decided to leave the band FIREWIND because of personal reasons. I
had a good time with the band but there are things going on in the band I
cannot agree. I wish the band good luck for their future.

Stay True!
Chitral ?Chity? Somapala.

What do you guys think about Chity singing for Balance of Power ? I think it is a match made in heaven.

I don't know if he can sing that high. But if he can he should be awesome!

Btw, you do know that they already have a new singer?

"British melodic metal band BALANCE OF POWER have announced the addition of singer Corey Brown to the group's ranks. Hailing from Colorado, Brown's previous projects include MAGNITUDE 9, SECTION 16 and REDEMPTION, with whom he performed at the ProgPower IV festival."

Well maybe Gus G will return to Dream Evil then :D

:lol::lol::lol:

I don't think he'll do it, but it'll be nice IMO
