Greek melodic metal act FIREWIND have posted a statement regarding a recent lineup change in the light of the band’s upcoming live shows in Mexico:

“Firewind has decided to part ways with drummer Mark Cross due to personal differences. We thank Mark for his work and contribution to Firewind and wish him good luck in the future.

Behind the kit, for the upcoming Mexico shows will be Michael Ehre (ULI JON ROTH, KEE MARCELLO, etc.). Michael’s a beast, a truly fantastic player with years of experience next to top musicians and bands and we’re very happy to have him on board!

You can check Michael out here."

Hey, Steve, your having been in a couple bands that have gone through lineup changes, what exactly do bands mean when they cite "personal" or "musical differences"?

Just how euphemistic IS that, anyway? :loco:

I think when things are listed as "personal differences", it's generally best that the fans never find out.

"Personal" or "Musical Differences" could mean pretty much anything depending on how much the band actually want to give away about the split. Your average band generally prefers to keep things "in-house", and will either give an answer that vaguely describes what caused the split or just outright lie. In Firewind's case, they have cited "personal differences" and most likely will leave it at that.
