Agile is now out of the question due to no refunds on international shipping.

I am thinking about this: http://www.espguitars.co.uk/guitars-ltd-mh417.html.

Drawbacks:

emg PU
scale length
no floating trem

if anyone has had any eperience with this guiter please tell me what it is like, or recomend another (prefarably the same price point)

Thanks in advance.

I've played that guitar a few times. Definitely worth the money imo. I'm also not a fan of floyds on 7 strings though, so that wouldn't be a drawback for me.

I just recently ordered an MH-417 which is definitely fun to play and great for the price. I didn't notice anything odd about the short scale length. The neck and body are both on the slim side and the EMG pickups sounded better than I have expected. I still had to send it back as it had some flaws that I didn't want to accept like a horribly glued nut, awful looking binding around the neck and it had some difficulties with adjusting the pickup height correctly. However I played another MH-417 from a different shop and it didn't have any flaws at all.

I then decided to order a Schecter Loomis after trying it out, which I recommend as an alternative. The neck and body are both just a bit thicker, which gives it a very solid feel. The guitar resonates beautifully and the build quality is great. It has absolutely no flaws and their models are definitely a step up from the LTD series guitars. The Loomis is also available with a Floyd Rose bridge and has a larger scale length. It's about $200 more than the MH-417.

Both guitars are fun to play and great for their price.
