i put the cd in and j says 'this isn't jay-z' so then i have to say 'we don't like jay-z' and then he says 'oh'.

i really like this cd a lot. i especially like track 4 and listened to it twice before listening to track 5. i will have to get luke's take on it later when he finally doesn't miss a train to get out here. i am bad at giving well thought out descriptions of my opinions.
but i like it. j and i agree we like it more than the motw cd's we have.

j is very picky and wants me to add 'extremely attractive in yellow wool pants'.

BTG, I finally got some time to listen to this cd thru my nearfields and it's damn coolness. Rock out!

I liked the album but some stuff is too exagerated (read "useless") for me, like the end of The Antique. And the short riffs are like a sexual act being interrupted...which is no good.

I only get that impression once on the end of the album, at the end of The Manifold Curiosity...that riff is fucking awesome and ends the song perfectly, but its duration is indeed the aural equivalent of a premature ejaculation.

the fact that the awesome riff at the end of Manifold ends so abruptly and leaves you wanting to hear it again is what makes it awesome for me.

I mention this only because if one thinks of it as a riff, they are probably more likely to think of it as a really short riff, or in other words, one that doesn't happen enough times.
