First mix, well.. not mix but...

Basically this is my first recording. Used pod farm and superior drummer 2 (programmed drums), no bass. Guitars are straight from pod, no EQ. Added some EQ on kick and snare, thats all. I didn't played with velocity much, just recorded to try. Song is some wannabe-modernhxc i made few weeks ago, dont critize that. Give me tips, ty.

For hardcore beats I would put the high-hat hits on the snare not on the kick and would use less doublebass...
But for your first work, GOOD JOB

That beat would be very easy to play the high hat on both the kick and snare. It's not that fast. When I play that kind of beat I also tend to accentuate the high hat hits with each snare hit.
