then there were those times when the little fuzzy thing would fall off the tape housing, and you either had to glue on one from another cassette, or do a surgery and take the tape from one cassette and put it into the housing of another. it's operation, the wacky doctor game.:Smokin:

then there was the dreaded scotch tape bandaid on a ripped piece of audio tape for ghetto tape splicing.
 
This is going to sound completely mental but when I was a kid I couldn't afford an amp exactly... I had this old head I think it said tesco or something on it... hard to remember now. So I would take the output from it and stick that quarter inch cable into the tape deck and squeeze it in between the tape head somewhere, there was a special spot... and then I would hit play. I got a killer distortion this way! Ha my friends who all had real amps thought I was mental.

If it was as good as their chicken caesar wraps, then that thing would sound like a 5150 lol!
