Madonna has settled her long-running legal dispute between Warner Music group and her own imprint Maverick, but at a price.

Warner claimed that Maverick music had lost them $66 million since 1999 and wanted a total of $92.5 million to completely dissolve their partnership. The dispute also included rights to over 60 percent of Madonna's name, who owes Warner two more albums.

However, both parties today announced an agreement with Warner buying out Madonna's 40% share in the troubled company which effectively means that Madge no longer has any say in Mavericks' business dealings.

The deal does not affect Madonna's own recording contract with Warner Bros record label. Maverick remains recording home to Alanis Morissette and Michelle Branch.

Legendary U.K. record label Music For Nations — current home of OPETH and ANATHEMA and past home of METALLICA, CRADLE OF FILTH, TESTAMENT and countless other metal bands — has officially closed its doors. The company's catalog — which has previously included titles from artists as varied as LOST HORIZON and FRANK ZAPPA — will be folded into parent company Zomba Records Group (the world's largest independent music group).
