With the Nuwave of Metal that began to dominate rock radio & television in the late 90’s,
there have been "innovators" & "followers." As we head into 2004, it’s very "refreshing" to hear a band that stands out among it’s peers.
FiveFootThick are a band out of the Pacific Northwest, Spokane, Washington to be exact. This band has more in common with Numetal stand outs like Hate Breed, Drowning Pool, Godsmack & Disturbed than your Korn’s, Limp Bizkits(thank god). FiveFootThick have enough "punch" that after the third track you’re down for the count. It’s not only "punch" FiveFootThick posses. They have great "chunky" riffs & melodies that make these tracks memorable. That in it’s self is a valuable quality to have. This five piece managed to get some big bottom end, probably on a small recording budget(Metallica take notice). Some of the "Blood Puddle" highlights(which features 9 tracks) are Unfounded, Ducked Out, Listen & the title track. This a one record that even the "metal purists" will enjoy along with fans of the current metal, hardcore & numetal scenes. Do yourself a favor & pick up "Blood Puddle," & crank this one on 10. You won’t be disappointed.
