Hey if there are any Flotsam and Jetsam fans out there check out their message board.Their old drummer Kelly has a post saying he has converted some live material from 88-89-90.But he will only upload it if he gets a good response. So if you are interested drop by and leave him a message! It's under" converted some old crap" http://www.flotsam-and-jetsam.com/ :)

There is an update for the upcoming Flotsam And Jetsam album on their site. Here is what Mark Simpson posted.

Hey Flotz Fans!

The Title of the new record is "The Cold". Travis Smith is once again going to do the cover, which we are extremely excited about because of his amazing skill and vision. The cover will also feature the debut of an up and coming new talent.
Some song titles are: "Black Cloud", "Secret Life", "Hypocrite", "Falling Short", "Take" and "I'll beat the fuck out of you". OK, that last one is not a title but it's close. :) 10 songs - ALL Brutal, ALL Killer, NO Filler!! We are currently finishing up guitars and starting on vocals. Still hopeful for a release in the first quarter of next year and to do as many shows as possible in support.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to KIT XI and hope to see you next year!

Anyway they all seem very excited and rejuvenated for this new album it is supposed to sound very modern ( not in a new metal ) I can't fricken wait!

I agree completely. They are one of Thrash Metals most important bands just as important as the so called" big four".I hope this album does well for them they need it.
Doomsday is really fun to play.I wish they would do Metal Shock live.

sure Doomsday... and No Place ... are still great great albums, I grew up with that stuff, but later on I think they went downhill. I'll hope the new album is gonna kick ass again

True some of their later albums are not the fastest and they have also been plagued by crappy production and crappy record companies, but I think they have gone out on a limb with their music more than a lot of metal bands. And did it without sounding fake like Megadeth or a few other bands I won't mention.I have been talking to them off and on for a couple years and it seems they really have a fire going for this album, they also have a major distribution deal and that is going to help a lot...I hope.

For anyone interested Flotsams original drummer Kelly David Smith has posted the following.
