Today I bought a 7 string off a buddy of mine , and it has a floyd rose. I took it home and some of the strings were a little out of tune. How do I tune it without fucking some stuff up?

losen the screws that lock the strings at the saddle. tune the guitar just like any other. the floyd should ideally be parallel to the guitars body, so you may have to adjust the screws of the springs in the back of the guitar and retune until the trem is in the disired position. when this is done, tighten the screws at the saddle to lock the strings again.
after that, fine-tune the strings with the finetuning-screws on your bridge and your ready to go

if you have more questions: just post!

have fun, they can be a little tedious.

Just hope that the bastard before you had it set right :p

as far as i know, the part that is called "nut" in english is called "sattel" in german ("saddle" in enlgish), now isn't there a part of the guitar that is called "saddle" in english???

ah, I knew there was one, just couldn't remember what it was. so in german and english, the saddle is on different ends of the guitar
