this album alone deserves a sticky on here, even if no one replies, and even if it isn't metal. after listening to it on cd over and over i can't even really say anything other than...

:worship:

This album sounds so good. Listen to Dear Rosemary, that bass is soo freakin awesome. And it is so soft and big and lush and super awesome :D One of the best sounding rock albums ever!!!

Okay.. I need to go buy this. everything I've heard off it so far kicks arse.
Love the fact that the album was done the old fashioned way too!

Just got done reading an article on the production of this record (electronic musician).

It was enough to get me to buy it, however when I took a listen I expected to hear the influence of how it was recorded more (garage and all analog).

It sounds like a foo fighters record. It sounds tits, but I'm just not hearing a lot of gear influence that I expected.

To be a fly on the wall though would have been awesome. So nice to hear all natural EVERYTHING as well!

get a look at Dave Grohl's idea of a home studio....

:OMG:

Yeah guys we're going to do this total garage style.... I've only got a couple hundred grand to build it so lets just get a brand new API 1608, 2 studers, Barefoots, A rack of neve's, and Butch Vig. You know. None of that expensive 'commercial studio' stuff..... HA!

Hardly done in a less than optimum environment, but hey - it sounds amazing. Love Butch Vig productions.
