check out my friends project "vinyl life"

we worked a bunch of kind of remastering it since it was mastered mad bassy originally but either way it sounds great and i dig the music alot. its very retro and a salute to early80's - early 90s dance/pop/hip hop/house/new jack swing music.

its virtually 100% analog. all analog synths, effects, mixdown is down in real time on an analog board. PT was just used as a tape machine and some editing. a lot of respect for my friend phil who is the head producer who makes records like it was 1984...

a lot of work put into this so check it out and hopefully if you like it pick it up. he released it on his own label so its pretty much direct support. enjoy!

ooh missed these.

yeah as far as the gear just a lot of analog stuff the only stuff i can remember off the top of my head are dave smith prophet 08, studio electronics atc and se-1, access virus b, juno 106, future retro revolution, physical 909s 808s, mpc 1000 and 3000, sp 1200, a bunch of moog stuff also like filters and pedals and even some synths that he had borrowed. there were more these are just things i had remembered for myself actually in my times in and out of the studio.

Noice! Makes we want to dust off my oldies... (But they're broken!! D'oh!)

Access Virus B is not a true analog synth but it still kicks ass. Neither are the samplers. ;)

It's cool sounding stuff tho, very old school vibe to it. I dig it!
