Anyone in sweden wanna buy my gear, I'm throwing in the towel. I'll trade it all except the Schecter for an ENGL midi preamp if anyone is interested.

Here is what I'm selling:

Schecter C7 Black Jack
Peavey JSX w. footswitch
Peavey XXL 4x12
Lexicon MX200

Out of curiousity, why are you getting rid of the JSX? I just sold mine because I couldn't get a raw tone from it, it always sounds polished and smooth. Not a bad thing persay...but you can polish a raw sounding amp.

The JSX is great but I'm getting rid of it because I'm "throwing in the towel", which means that I'm giving up the dream of becoming a rockstar  I have lost the interest in playing in a band. :erk:

Oh man...really sorry to hear that. You should still keep the gear though and just do your own music. I went through a phase where I was so tired of music and I was disgusted at just thinking about playing guitar because I never had time for it. I either needed to A) sell all of my guitar equipment and focus on recording, or B) sell all of my recording equipment and focus on music and playing guitar. It passed and I'm glad I didn't get rid of anything because now I am playing guitar in a really fun grind band, bass in a black metal band, have a lineup already for a metal project that I want to do and I'm still recording regularly.

I'm just saying maybe you should wait for a a while before selling everything off, just see how you feel in like...a month or so.

It's not that I hate playing, I still play at home and record and stuff, but I have been more into recording lately and I've noticed that I write music just so I can record/mix it. Also my band split up and I don't feel like joining a new one. I was thinking of maybe buying a good preamp just to play/record at home with impulses. If I feel like I want to play in a band again I just need a 4x12, I already have a poweramp. I was thinking an ENGL midi tube preamp or maybe I'll just get a modded Marshall JMP-1 tube preamp or something like that. Any suggestions on a tube preamp?

I've heard that ADA MP-1's can sound great when modded, and there are so many mods available - also, Hoehlentroll I think posted some really good sounding clips of the cheapest Engl preamp (e530) with impulses, so that one seems cool too (and more affordable than the MIDI preamp, jesus...)

thanks :kickass:
I agree. the engl midi preamp is like the engl se without the power amp section. if you just use it for recording I would go for the e530, because you don't need to switch stuff by midi when recording.

Had an ADA, tried to modify it...tried  I ordered one of those mod kits and I fucked it up. How about the triaxis?

Yeah I thought about the e530 too but I'm curious about a modded marshall JMP-1. I haven't tested any of them. There is a guy selling a modded JMP-1 here in Sweden (mod is done by Folkesson who is a pro modder in Sweden).
