IMO, nothing comes close to what Beat Detective does, and it remains one of the reasons why I think PT is still indispensable.

I've read that PT 7.4 (which features elastic audio) will make editing drums even faster.



I'm also surprised that people are discouraging drum quantization on a metal forum!

I agree about PT and am excited about EA...we'll see what happens when it's released.
I think maybe I came out more against editing than I am. I have no qualms about editing the piss out of something if it needs it....however if a particular section sounds good I'm not going to mess w/ it just for the sake of making it perfect.
