Truly awesome to read this news. He's a giant in every sense of the word, one of the best metal drummers ever.

Hell, I've seen him play an SYL set and an Opeth set within three hours...and almost look bored during the process.

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard the news. The only album I had heard by Forbidden before was the new one (thanks NB). Steve Smyth is a monster and that alone is worth watching.

The more I listen to these guys, the more I am into them.
