Force of Evil is a super group comprised of legendary guitarists Hank Shermann & Michael Denner both of Mercyful Fate. Also featured is bassist Hal Patino formerly of King Diamond’s band. Joining these skilled heavy metal mercenaries are vocalist Martin Steene & drummer Bjarne T. Holm. I anxiously awaited the North American release of this record. I had very high expectations for this recording. The opener is an instrumental track. With a lethargic start, the record kicks off & doesn’t let up from there. In my mind the bar was set extermely high for this project & I am delighted with the outcome. While the vocals aren’t spectacular, this is a strong outing, I look forward to hearing what they come up with for the sophmore release. I highly recommmend this disc to fans of traditional heavy metal & thrash metal.
