Anyone pick up the record? It was issued in the states this Tuesday.

Absolutely, without a doubt, a fine piece of old school metal! Definitely has the Mercyful Fate/King Diamond sound. I like the singer a lot. But my favorite thing about the album is the endless amount of killer guitar work! Riffs, riffs, and more f-ing riffs. I have raved about the Puppetmaster disc and this one is right up there.

I´ve got it and although after one spin I did not start drooling over it the appreciation has grown with each consecutive spin. By now I´m really loving the album, mostly because of the riffing. The vocalist I think is a bit weak compared to the music though. He´s not bad though.

Killer riffs, the vocals are ok but could be better.

And they also could be worse. Steene does a decent job, I guess this also prove the old "taste-clash" TMG style, if I like something the rest don't

FORCE OF EVIL: Live DVD Details Revealed - Mar. 1, 2004

FORCE OF EVIL, the new Danish all-star band featuring guitarist Michael Denner (ex-MERCYFUL FATE), guitarist Hank Shermann (MERCYFUL FATE), bassist Hal Patino (KING DIAMOND), drummer Bjarne Holm (MERCYFUL FATE), and vocalist Martin Steene (IRONFIRE), have set "Evil Comes...Alive" as the title of their forthcoming live DVD, due later this year through Escapi.

"Evil Comes...Alive" was recorded last November in Stockholm, Sweden in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS. The DVD contains extra material such as songs from their first concert in Cleveland last year, studio footage, interviews, promo video, image gallery, biography and more.
