Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes was supposed to conclude his Canadian tour tonight, March 30th, at The Brass Monkey in Ottawa, Ontario. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans.
The Brass Monkey has issued the following statement:
“After a lengthy conversation with Chris’ team and our local support, we have decided to postpone this show due to the risks with the ice rain and potential power failures. The band spent the night in North Bay and we are seeing terrible road conditions and power outages throughout Eastern Ontario with plenty more on the way. OPP and Ottawa Police have warned about unnecessary travel and we have to respect that.
The safety of our artists. staff and guests is of the utmost priority to us.
We are hoping to move this event into an open date within the next two weeks before Chris and his family return to France.
Tickets will be automatically refunded for those who cannot make the pending rescheduled date.
Thank you for understanding that sometimes Mother Nature isn’t always cooperative. stay safe.”
Catherine Holmes, wife and manager of Chris Holmes, has commented:
“We are really sorry to not be with all of you tonight but the life of our team and the fans as everyone in Brass Monkey is more important right now.
We want everyone safe then please be careful.”
