Well, ouch! What a rough first week! Brady goes down for the season, which pretty much opens up the rest of the league, Indianapolis loses, Green Bay wins without Brett, the Jets win WITH Brett, the Seahawks looked like a Jr. Varsity high school team, and Oakland looked like...well...Oakland. Lots of surprises, and a long season to go.

I figured I would give my Bay Area teams the benefit of the doubt the first week, because you can only hope. But the Raiders should not be allowed to play other NFL teams...it's just not fair. My original prediction of a 5-11 season looks like I am going to be off by a few games. I'll be surprised if I pick them again at all this year. The Niners....well, they showed promise, so, although I will not show favoritism, I will pick them if I really think they'll win. That being said, once again, opening week was as unpredictable as ever.
