Make sure you check out "Big City Nights" and "Balls to the Wall" :headbang:
They are the exact 2 songs that stood out to me on their Happenstance CD. They rocked, great covers :headbang:

The rest I didn't like much, especially L.O.V.E. Machine which they butchered. Not much of a fan of his voice either...

Yeah none of them were bad (except the WASP one) but nothing really special. I wouldn't put the CD on really coz I'd rather just listen to the real ones. They picked alot of songs that really don't work well without the original bands' character unless you make the song your own and change it around rather than just play it the same as a tribute like Fozzy do.

However Balls To The Wall and Big City Nights did work really well actually.

Fozzy rock.

I like all of their covers, and 'Livewire' is so good it is better than the original, as with 'Stay Hungry' and a few others. L.O.V.E. Machine is great, I don't see any problem with it. 'Freewheel Burnin' is probably my fav, excellent cover with an awesome sound. The only songs I don't listen to as I much prefer the originals are the 2 Maiden covers. 'The Prisoner' is a good cover, but I don't care much for 'Where Eagles Dare' at all.

Chris' vocals are much better on the first album, but still strong on the second.

Also, some Fozzy news, they are working on a new album which will be all originals, no covers. I really dig their songs so it should be good. 'End Of Days', 'To Kill A Stranger', and 'Happenstance' are all top notch, and the others are good as well.

I like Metal Shop's originals better than Fozzy's :)

I reckon L.O.V.E. Machine sounds really mechanical and stiff on Fozzy's album. There's no attitude or flow to it, songs like that gotta have a loose, raw, live kinda vibe going on. Same with Live Wire, though I haven't heard Fozzy's cover of it so I can't comment on that. But I can't imagine that song ever sounding as good as it does on Too Fast For Love. That is a perfect recording of the song, impossible for anyone including The Crue themselves to ever top. Same goes with the whole Too Fast For Love album really, except Starry Eyes and On With The Show are probably the only 2 tracks that would benefit from a more polished production. The rest just has to be as raw as it was in 1981.
