From the sky¡¡¡, From the sky..From the sky.

I don't know who does it on the album, but it's definitely a recording live.

On another note, who sings the final chorus on Of Sins and Shadows live (the 4th chorus - where the bass starts grooving)? On LOTEOF it's NOT Russell...so is it just Romeo and Lepond? Do Rullo and Pinnella ever sing?

pinella sings also...

another thing...if i wanted to do a chorus line like the " from the sky.." line, how could i do it? is it some recording trick? anyone knows how to do it? are they like 123 voices in it? (lol) i'd thank very much the person who can help me with this...

It's just plain and simple... Russel records the same line, 3 times, 3 tones different... in studio, we can do miracles... :-P but seriously, I recorded a Of Sins and Shadows cover here in my computer (drums/bass = electronic ones, but pretty realistic!), and I listened to this part about 10 times, to get the hint of recording it exactly how Mr. Allen did in studio... ;)

There's no secret!

I've noticed some parts that I'm sure other people must sing because they just dont sound like russell..and im sure its not synthesiser at least not russell on synthesiser.

First off, how do they control the recording when they're doing the song live? Does Pinnella have a sampler or something that he controls?

Also, about "how did they do it": if you want a bit, thick vocal sound like the "from the sky" part, i would assume that you could record the line several times in different voice intonations, then put some effects on there to enhance it (ex: chorus effect).

You got it, Hwangman!

There are two possibilities, when we're talking about their live performance:

1. Pinnella records the sample "From the sky! from the sky! from the sky!" on his keyboard (yes, this is possible) and, in the right time he just pushes the button.

OR

2. There's a sampling timeline w/ a metronome, guiding Mr. Rullo throughout the songs, and the samples are triggered automatically.

Number one is accurate. Pinnella has a keyboard that he uses off to the side to trigger the extra choral effects.

As far as back up singing goes live, Pinnella, Lepond, and Romeo all provide extra vocal power on stage.
