Hi guys!

Since I have two more basses coming in this month, it's unfortunately time for me to sell some of the ones that I have. I know you guys are a bit concerned about scams and stuff like that (I am too), so I can tell you upfront, my name is Alex Pascu, I play in the Romanian band Thunderstorm (you can check our website at www.thunderstorm.ro) for credibility.

Now, for the fun part:
I have 3 great basses for sale:

1. Yamaha RBX775 flat silver, signed by Scott Travis, Ian Hill and KK Downing of Judas Priest (a real treat for Priest collectible fetishists!). I am the only owner. It's got a great metal tone, just search for it on YouTube. Specs: alder body/maple neck/rosewood fingerboard/flat silver finish/monorail bridge. It's got some thorugh the paint nicks because it's a loved instrument, but everything works flawlessly. It has active electronics and makes for a great metal bass! Price: 450 euros!!!

2. 70's Gherson bass (awesome Rickenbacker 4001 clone)
This one is a real motherfucker! It's a seventies Italian handmade bass, one of the best Rick clones ever made with almost all the features of the original: neck through body, all maple construction, lacquered fingerboard, mother of pearl inlays, stereo output (don't know if it works though, cause I don't have a Ric-o-sound box). This one isn't a cheap China knockoff! If you ever wanted a Rickenbacker 4001 but don't want to throw out 2000 euros, this baby is for you! The wood has a very nice growl to it, and it's in great condition considering it's an almost 40 year old instrument. It even has the Rickenbacker logo on the trussrod cover (although, obviously it is NOT original). It feels very good and it's got a real vintage vibe, but it's also great for metal! That's why I bought it in the first place. The frets are polished and a bit worn out though, but that is the only issue. The bass was recently adjusted by a luthier.

But enough from me, let's let him do the talking (just a cheap mic thrown in front of my Ampeg, no processing: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4522401/bass demo.mp3 )

Price: 600 euros for a 70's vintage quality instrument!!!

3. Fender Precision Plus. This one here is a real metal workhorse and has served me well for years. It's a MADE IN USA Fender P Plus from 1992. It's got the D-tuner added to the E-string, it was perfectly refretted with Dunlop jumbo frets, so no fret wear problems whatsoever! It's got some "battle scars" but they make for a beautiful vintage looking instrument. It's got passive electronics, Lace Sensor Pickups, Schaller bridge and deluxe tuners, ash body, maple neck and fretboard, Series/parallel switch and 3-way pickup selector switch. It's got a great almost Rickenbacker-ish type tone that's way more metal than normal Fender basses. The neck is slimmer than the regular P-bass and although it's a heavy instrument, it plays beautifully. This one is a really really good bass and there's a big (and growing) part of me that doesn't want to sell it, but I really have to let some of these basses go.
You won't find any of these on eBay some time soon, they're a real rarity (Fender only produced them for 3 years), but they are far superior to modern MIA Fenders.
