My biggest issue is my mixing position is far from ideal, BUT, when I move back about four feet, the sound is spot on perfect. You hear everything.

All I need now is a wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, and a rolly chair with a built in flip over desk

Most importantly, I'm getting used to these things. They don't lie at all really.

The positioning is quite unforgiving. The amount of tetris I've played with the layout of this room as a result of monitors is ridiculous. The Opals' lows are very touchy, and I've still got them set to 1/2 space for reasonable results in here.

Anyhow, I'm sure someone here grabbing their first monitors (or auxiliaries) will enjoy the RP5s. The funny thing is that one of my old clients moved from these same monitors to Opals in the last year and loves the change as well. Makes you wonder what you were doing for the first part of your working life.

Ermin... I had to deal with that shit from Rick for the last year! I'm SO happy he changed! We recorded guitars today for the Demolition album... have to say, the Opals are fun to mix on! It's like... oh THERE are those extended lows hello bass guitar! Jeez And the high mid detail :S fuck me

I have the KRK Rp5 Gen2, good monitors to start with, but since I heared the opals in a shop I know what I have to save up to once I get the chance to step up.
