Because im sick to death of having to pull my desk out to swap the XLR's between that and my Audient Mico for different purposes *Skype/reamping*

So im going to go with something with XLR's on the front.

Sounds stupid but it would really be so much easier.

You can buy them on Studiospares for pretty cheap. I just bought connectors and cable. Nah, no audible difference. If you use good cable and connectors, it'll be all good. You can get up to 16 inputs on these plates. It's totally worth it. The Motu I have has all the inputs on the back (as did the Digi 002R that I used to have) and it pissed me off having to get in about the back everytime I wanted to plug something in. This solved that problem. You can get jack connectors that fit in these plates as well, so if you wanted to keep things like DI boxes out of the way etc, you've got that option. I plan to use the 4 spares for something else at some point, just haven't bought any new gear in a while

I found it on eBay. XLR rack panel. I searched 1U XLR and that came up, you can buy them loaded or unloaded.
