Fuck, man. Greece.

Getting fed up with this eurocrisis crap... There's too much good stuff getting destroyed to clean the mess up made by people who still aren't held responsible for their actions.

The problem is that the bankers and the rich (Goldman Sachs, etc) own the government(s). It will take a third World War to get rid of those people, and even that is not 100% foolproof. What really should be done is what Iceland did. But that will never fly for the German bankers and rich due to obvious reasons.

I really hope the other Finnish people would wake up and force our government to hold a public vote for exiting the Euro and European Union. It has only done damage to Finland in the 18 years we've been a member, up to the point where Finland is under a real threat of the Greek fate.

Yup, Europe is going completely down the shitter, and culture is one of the first things to get pummeled. While probably not as bad as in many other european countries, the dutch government is slowly sucking all the life force out of it too.

One of the bigger local cities, that has thrived on culture and arts for hundreds of years, has been cut on fundings by almost 75%. That kind of reasoning is absolutely beyond me. It's like the people making those decisions cannot look beyond a piece of paper with numbers on it. They refuse to see the long-term impact of their actions.

Since when was culture about making huge monetary gain? To me it has always been about identity that surpasses the individual and a deep feeling of social and emotional connection. Both of those are direly needed if we want to get through this crisis without crushing our brothers and sisters by the millions once again.

We could get into a long debate about it, but to me, essentially calling for a world war in order to eradicate bankers and rich people is inherently a fascist statement. Some people need to learn that not all rich people and not all bankers are out to fuck the world over, and they're not all inherently evil, and yes... some of them have even worked their asses off to get where they are.

Whenever I see people just parroting bullshit and sloganeering like that, it really just belies a complete lack of empathy and critical thinking.

Torniojaws wasn't calling for a world war. He was merely saying that the only way out of this would be a world war (or some sort of major reduction of human life). And he is correct. The root of the problem is that there are too many people on the planet. That is not fascist.

Go read Dan Brown's new novel and see how it ends. Go look at the movies that are coming out. Go read Wool. The situation is dire. This is no conspiracy theory.

Ah ok I wasn't interpreting him as actually calling for a war. Yeah that would be dumb.

Yeah sure. I'm gonna base my opinion on the intracacies of the geo-political situation of the world on... pieces of fiction. :guh::loco::zombie:

Why do you conspiracy nuts automatically jump to wiping out a chunk of the population in order to solve problems? Do you hate humans that much?

Does anyone else feel like humans are not only doomed to repeat the past, but hell bent to do so even if they know that the mistakes they are making have already happened (and therefore preventable)?

I mean somewhat in general, but in a larger scale as well (governments, wars etc...)

What amazes me honestly is when people genuinely believe that this is most likely not the case, or that we have somehow evolved past such things.

The root for modern-day wars is currency supremacy.. It's bankers' wars.

This is very sad, but I'm not sure what all the apocalyptic musings here are about. Greek politicians lied to get into the Euro and the country has atrocious labor productivity with an incredibly generous and too-ambitious welfare state. Investors lost confidence in it because they started realizing those things. But because it's part of the Euro, the Greek currency can't devalue and increase its exports, so the only thing to do is heap austerity on it. The Germans don't want to engage in any deficit spending or risk letting inflation get out out of hand. It's not because of some evil cabal of zionist megalomaniac bankers.

And the northern Europeans and nordic countries are obviously entitled to think what they want, but their political parties have made a sport of bashing the Euro to win votes, so they have a vested interest in making things look terrible and blaming the Greeks rather than the Germans or themselves for not doing anything to improve the situation.
