Origin - Part With Guitarist, Drummer
posted on 10-10-2005 @ 2:44 AM

Kansas-based death metallers ORIGIN have parted ways with guitarist/vocalist Clinton Appelhanz and drummer James King due to personal & creative differences, reads a posting on the band's official website.

"I would like to personaly thank these guys for their dedication & hard work to this project & let people know that Echoes of Decimation could not have been done without them.

I am currently looking for replacements in each position respectively for Guitar/Vox & Percussion...serious inquiries only....

Contact me @ origindirect@yahoo.com"

Both Clinton and James are currently in a new project with Jeremy Turner (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) entitled, UNMERCIFUL. The band has recorded a full-length and is currently seeking label interest. Songs can be heard on their MySpace page here, and more information can be accessed on their official website at this location.

Yea, your telling me. I was suprised enough when they found someone fast enough to replace Longstreth. If I lived anywhere near Kansas I'd sure as hell be interested in trying out.

You can pull off those gravity blasts?! The last minute or so of Debased Humanity sounds like a goddamn machine. I know I sure as hell can't nail all the sweeps they do.

Hehe, no I know that I seriously cant play at the level needed for Origin, just sort of dreaming/wishing. I actually have almost got the gravity blast worked out, but its sloppy as fuck, too slow and I cant just burst into it, it takes some building up. Theirs some things that Im not even close to being able to match up to yet, such as that goddamn gattling gun part in Debased Humanity you spoke of. As for the sweeps, they simply blow my mind sometimes, and Im not really even a guitar player.

Get the Informis lineup back together. That was their best album by far. Echoes of Decimation sounded twice as generic.

I'd try out to be the guitarist if I lived near there, wrote music in their style, and wouldn't get too bored from playing their songs within a few months.
