When one of my friends compared it to Beetlejuice I drove to her house and told her if she was a man i would slap her LOL . Yeah it was fucking bad, he should have gone full on horror with over the top gore..... there were two dark shadows movies that I saw reruns of on tv when I was a kid that scared the piss out of me, don't go see this blasphemy rent house of dark shadows or curse of dark shadows

You're fucking crazy. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one of the greatest displays of acting in the history of film.

Blow was a fucking amazing movie as well.

What's so good about it? I admire some of Hunter S. Thompson's writings, but I am leery of seeing them botched.

His essay right after 9 / 11 was about as prescient as Noam Chomsky's. Few are in that league.

If you've ever seen Thompson's demeaner, Depp nails it. Apart from Empire and Jedi, FALILV is my all-time favorite movie...and mainly due to Depp. He is Thompson in that film.

@ the part where he's in the club doing acid in the bathroom with Flea, and then he comes out and sees THE REAL Hunter S. Thompson sitting down, and they look at each other and Depp goes, "What the fuck...is it me?"

It IS a Terry Gilliam film, after all. Genius. That film really made me appreciate Depp as an actor...and Benicio Del Toro even more.
