its possible that when you hear something for a long time that you get problems with these higer frequenzes. ...my fault

Overheads (drums) or the high freq?!?! wich makes a too loud harshness?

the high end is killing my ears ;-) and i LOVE high end in mixes, haha! but thats a little too much. esp on small headphones it will kill you.
a great analog eq like the massive passive should work better for this, than any plugin. if you have access, try that.
also try working on the lower mids, im missing note information there. start by raising 400 hz area of the bass a little little, see what that does.

hehe, kein problem. back to german :
yeah, i recently figured that you should at least try small ipod headphones for a final check. i would never optimize my masters for these pieces of crap...
but thing is : your listening to mp3 when using ipodheadphones.
mp3 creates shitloads of artefacts and weird stuff on the high end.
id check that, sometimes you can get away with BRIGHT,
but if its too bright, your ears will fall of

always check some references if your not shure about your high end.
its hard to get right depending on the sources.

It reminds me of After The Burial - A Steady Decline. (the mix.)

And that isn't exactly a compliment.

The mix is fine, but if you're looking for some HUGE mix, this isn't it, at all. haha
