A post from over at mr.com
"Well hey, what a huge disappointment, but you guys had warned me about it being highly likely he'd cancel .....
Yes, I'm talking about Detroit, where the I-Rock nightclub had it's phone number posted @ the Website:
http://www.irocknightclub.com/ & I had tried calling the number all day, never got an answer, left a message asking if the gig was on in the afternoon, they never called back .....
The recorded "Hotline" message was still advertising the gig, long after we finally found out by double checking the I-Rock website about 8pm tonight @ our last stop to pick up a friend to go to the show.
We'd all checked the website around 5pm ...., gig was still advertised as ON .....
Well, around 8pm we checked the site to find the gig was indeed OFF!
"July 6th date to be rescheduled," the website says ...... Maybe if he can find another band!

The story originated here @ a Scorpions related website:
http://blog.scorpsnews.com/2007/06/houston-michael-schenker-group-gig.html
This Scorp's linked website posted this on June 30th, ironically, the day when MS posted on his site that, "the US Tour is still on ...."
The story reads that Michael showed up at the venue, but no band or roadcrew .....
Maybe he hadn't paid them, so they all took the gear / equipment & hocked it!!!
You let a lot of "old" MSG fans down tonight Michael & obviously other nights too ..... & if you knew your band & roadcrew had left you back then ..... - & come on, you couldn't have a hope of finding replacements all in a few days ...... Get real! - then why hadn't you told the venues or posted at your site that certain gigs were cancelled & then tried to regroup or re-assess after you cancelled!!!
Saddened long time fans,
Cozy Al (& on behalf of Dave & Scott)"
