Hey guys! So I've been writing and recording 2 songs for my band for the last couple of days, which will be released officially (on myspace and so on) TODAY in the afternoon or later! I've recorded the guitars, the vocals and I have also written the drums. Our bass player dropped by yesterday and recorded some shit. Well, like I said... we're going to release this shit today, so hurry up with the opinions! I'm pulling an all-nighter for this, so please tell me what you think.

I love the song man. I get an Soilwork vibe from it. I'd love to hear the vocals a little more in the forefront of the mix. I have a hard time understanding what he's saying during the chorus. I like the choice of verb and panning though. Very nice!

Thanks man, glad u like it! Yeah, well... the guitar part is a bit fuzzy. I had to export and reimport all the guitars (4 tracks of rythm) because my cpu didn't cope, can't remember all the settings. But basiclly it was like this:
Quadtracked, Gtrs 1 panned 100-100, Gtrs 2 panned 86-86

Gtrs 1, DI -> Waves Comp-Gate -> TSS -> LeCto -> Voxengo Pristine space running some mesa v30 impulse
Gtrs 2, exactly the same except instead of LeCto i got TSEx30 running.

All running to one groupchannel track with PSP MixSaturator2, C4 (lowend-compression) and the Req6 EQ, in which i cut a fuckload of highs and himids!

Plus they sound far too dry imo. It's just too sterile. Otherwise it's solid.

How do I get them more wet then? Maybe try other amp sim?
